Getting around Canada by air
Entry formalities
UK, EU and British Commonwealth citizens need only a full passport to enter Canada. Visas are not necessary for stays under six months, though it is immigration officials who will decide the permitted length of stay. Visitors may be required to show a return ticket out of Canada and prove that they have sufficient funds to travel.
British Airways, Air Canada and Canadian Airlines International are the three main carriers which serve Canada from Europe.
Getting around Canada by air
Air Canada and Canadian Airlines International also have a network of domestic routes serving more than 125 destinations within Canada. However, they are complemented by a number of smaller airlines such as Air BC (British Columbia and Alberta), Air Alliance (Quebec), Air Ontario (Ontario) as well as Air Atlantic and Air Nova (eastern Canada and the Maritimes).
