When to go to Canada
Ottawa's Tulip Festival
The best weather conditions in Canada are in July and August, and these are the busiest and most expensive months to travel around Canada. All mountain areas are visited throughout the year, be it summer or the winter skiing season from December to March. Summer is also the best time to visit the Prairies, the Yukon and the far north.
One can avoid the rains or early autumn frost in British Columbia. Autumn trips can bring joy if you visit the east, particularly New Brunswick. Meanwhile, spring is a good time to visit eastern Canada, although somwhere snow can remain on the ground until May.
When planning any trip, bear in mind that many hotels and campsites outside cities are open from mid-May till Labour Day (early September).
